Earth Day Technology

Earth Day Technology In-Person

This tech class is focused on library resources for Earth Day, a day dedicated to promoting awareness and appreciation for the environment. The class will cover a variety of online resources that can be used to learn about environmental issues and ways to make a positive impact on the planet.

Patrons will learn how to access online databases and e-books through the library's website, including academic journals, books, and articles on environmental topics such as sustainability, renewable energy, and conservation.

This tech class will cover the digital content related to Earth Day available through Libby, hoopla, Kanopy, and Flipster. These platforms provide users with access to a wide range of digital media, including e-books, audiobooks, movies, TV shows, and magazines.

The class will also cover how to use online tools, such as interactive maps and data visualizations, to explore environmental data and trends. Patrons will learn about resources for finding information on local and national environmental organizations, as well as ways to participate in environmental volunteer and advocacy opportunities.

This class is designed for those who are interested in learning more about the environment and ways to make a positive impact, and it will provide a comprehensive overview of the library's resources and tools for environmental research and education.
